Deshaun D. Harris, Principal
DeShaun Harris was appointed as the new principal of Ashford Elementary School in the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Harris began his educational career as a math teacher and continued as an Instructional Specialist, Assistant Principal, and Middle School Dean of Instruction. His experience has afforded him opportunities to serve students at the elementary and middle school levels. Mr. Harris is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, earning a bachelor's in Math Education, Secondary Education, and Teaching, and a Master's in Education from Sam Houston State University. Furthermore, Mr. Harris has worked with various organizations around teacher quality and retention, post-secondary readiness, and mentorship. Lastly, Mr. Harris is currently completing his Doctorate in Education Leadership at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
